Are you running your pool pump 24-7? If you are, don’t and this is why…

On an normal day, running your pump for 8 to12 hours is good. If you just had a pool party or a large number of people you may run it for longer, but if you are running your pump 24-7 you are unnecessarily raising your electric bill.

Also don’t let your pool water level drop low. Once the water level drops below the middle of the opening of the skimmer, your pump is taking in air. When this happens, and the pump is running dry and your pump is working harder then it needs to. The list of parts needing to be repaired or replaced is only growing, the longer this goes on.
